Keputusan SPM 2009 telah lama berlalu. Namun saya ingin abadikan keputusan SMIHJB dalam blog ini :

Tahniah kepada yang telah berjaya dengan cemerlang. Diharap sangat kepada anak-anak didik yang telah berjaya agar sentiasa menyedari bahawa "langit itu tinggi. Jika melihat ke langit, jangan lupa apa yang dipijak".

Setakat berkongsi pengalaman dengan guru-guru veteran, sering saya dengar luahan berikut;

"...biasanya budak-budak yang "nakal", yang kita "tenyeh" nilah yang ingat kita, yang rajin tanya khabar, sampai dah anak dua pun masih berhubung dengan kita. Budak yang pandai-pandai...jangan mimpilah nak cari kita, sorang dua adalaaa..."

Kenapa demikian?

JORAN SAYA

Saya nak berkongsi minat saya dengan para penggemar hobi memancing kali ini. Untuk peringkat awal, saya sekadar nak abadikan "senjata" memancing saya yang menjadi nadi utama hobi ini dalam blog ini. Buat masa ini saya memiliki 4 batang joran beserta kekilinya.

Joran kesayangan dan sentiasa ada dalam boot kereta. Joran paling berjasa nih! Sayangnya, mesin dia dah sampai tahap hujung hayat, dah tahap kena tukar.

Akan datang saya nak berkongsi kelengkapan yang terdapat dalam inventori saya pulak... (kotak pancing). Hmmm... tak banyak pun...macam saya kata, masih dalam peringkat belajar-belajar. Sesiapa yang nak berkongsi pengalaman, silakanlah. Boleh kita berkongsi pengalaman dan lokasi memancing.

Tapi hobi ini takkan bermakna seandainya tiada sokongan dari isteri tercinta... kelak "lesen" pun tak dapat... huhu... Terima kasih buat isteri tercinta!

MEMANCING 1

5 Mac 2010...Saya telah mendapat "lesen besar" dari isteri tersayang yang sangat memahami tahap "ketepuan" fikiran ini. Peluang yang ada saya maksimumkan besama rakan paling best dalam dunia buat masa ini untuk melaksanakan aktiviti yang telah sekian lama tidak saya nikmati. Aktiviti seumpama ini benar-benar memberikan saya ruang untuk berekreasi, menenangkan fikiran disamping mendekatkan diri dengan Sang Pencipta.

Bertolak kira-kira jam 6.30 petang dengan menaiki kenderaan beliau, behenti untuk solat maghrib di stesen Petronas Kota Tinggi. Perjalanan diteruskan sehinggalah ke lokasi memancing di Teluk Sengat. Jam 10.30 malam, beserta tawakal, kami mula berlabuh. Sepanajang malam sehingga air surut kira-kira jam 4 pagi, kami berperang dengan nyamuk...perun sabut yang berasap berkepul-kepul tak mampu mengusir nyamuk-nyamuk kampung ni... di tambah lagi serangan "belin" ( sejenis belut yang paling tidak disukai pemancing )...tak berhenti.

Jam 4.30 berpindah ke jeti. Memancing di sana, solat subuh di jeti, berehat seketika.

Jam 7.30, pergi cari sarapan, berkongsi pengalaman dengan nelayan warga emas, dan berkenalan dengan pemancing dari daerah lain. Dapat lokasi baru untuk akan datang.

Balik ke JB setelah dijamu oleh Pak Abu dengan hidangan lokan yang lazat.

Jenis ikan yang dapat dinaikkan seperti sembilang, kerapu, tanda, belanak dan beberapa spesis lain yang saya pun tak kenal. Maklumlah, baru nak berjinak-jinak dengan hobi ni.

Seekor kerapu pula dinaikkan pada lokasi yang sama. Selepas ikan ini, beberapa ikan lain turut dinaikkan, namun Ayie tidak mengizinkan gambar diambil atas tujuan "keselamatan". ( Padahal beliau jeles tak dapat ikan sebanyak saya )! Syukur alhamdulillah atas rezeki yang Allah kurniakan.

IKAN MODIFIED

Inilah salah seekor ikan yang telah di "modified" oleh Professor Terry Bradley ( professor of fisheries and aquaculture )di University of Rhode Island (URI). Genetik ikan ini telah diubahsuai agar ia lebih tahan lasak, tahap survival yang tinggi, kandungan otot yang lebih pejal dengan protein yang tinggi, dan tak "mudah di buli" oleh ikan-ikan lain.

Inilah antara hasil "kerja" manusia. Apakah mungkin kesan akibat daripada perubahan sifat asal ikan ini kepada ekosistem jika ia dilepaskan ke habitat semualajadi? Menurut sumber, sebanyak 500 000 tan metriks ikan ini dikeluarkan setiap tahun dan menjana keuntungan US80 juta.

Emmm... tak tahulah nak komen apa. Agak2 kalau tengok otot ikan tu yang berketak2, nak makan tak?

TECHNOLOGY : Citroen Survolt

Citroen says it has completely reinterpreted the idea of a small car by producing the Survolt concept – an electric vehicle that fits the size parameters of a small car but not the two-box look of a hatchback. Speaking at the Geneva International Motor Show this week, the company says its supermini is unconventional, aggressive, exciting and vibrant and is what the small car sector has been looking for.

According to Citroen, the Survolt meets the size, environmental and safety requirements of cars in its class but isn’t a boring rehash of existing vehicles.

The Survolt is the continuation of Citroen’s exploration of distinctive and original electric vehicles, starting with the Citroen Revolte concept car revealed at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Survolt is a blend of high-fashion glamor and extravagance with motor-racing punch.

Citroen says it has deliberately broken with convention, shaken up the rules and shifted the borders in its continuous and passionate quest to develop innovative objects ahead of their time. Survolt, it says, is one of these. It takes the genetic material of Revolte and adds an extroverted sports dimension to the mix.

The compact Survolt – 3.85m long, 1.87m wide and 1.20m high – has a look and personality of its own embedded in this concept.

A distinctive look ...
At the front, the distinctive vehicle badge sits above the large oval-shaped grille, while its slim, horizontal head lamps producing bright LED light.

Low-slung and sleek, the body features strong contrasts between the bonnet and sculpted flanks, highlighted by distinctive wheel arches.

Survolt’s air-slicing, flowing design is heavy on excitement and sensuality. It conveys agility, precision and vitality, barely containing a powerful, well-defined musculature under refined and luxurious wraps. The rear features the elegant light signature of Revolte together with a spoiler in an essential reference to motor sport.

Two-tone paint and materials like chrome and aluminum project an image of luxury and sport. Citroen says the Survolt is a perfect combination between high fashion and car racing, a unique alliance with the same philosophy and the same cues as Revolte, namely performance, cutting-edge technology and excellence.

Inside the Survolt
Survolt’s cockpit was designed to bring the two occupants comfort and refinement, triggering singular pleasure and an outstanding experience.

The car’s generous glazed area brings light and a sensation of space, very different to many of today’s sports cars.

Like Revolte, Survolt is powered by electricity, thus combining sports performance with environmental respect and sustainable development. Driver comfort is enhanced by the silent electric motor.

TECHNOLOGY : TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster

Tesla Motors has rolled put a one-of-a-kind TAG Heuer Roadster at the Geneva Motor Show. The Roadster's makeover references the red and green of the TAG logo in its predominately gray exterior and on the inside, the design by Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen includes a center console tailored to house a soon to be unveiled TAG concept watch.

Also on board is a Meridiist mobile phone and a one-fifth second Heuer Limited Edition Stopwatch.

Once Geneva winds-up on March 14, the TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster will be driven to Baselworld for the unveiling of TAG Heuer’s new concept watch on March 18.

TECHNOLOGY : Hyundai's i-flow concept

Hyundai Motor Company has rolled out the latest addition to its Blue Drive™ line-up at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show - the i-flow. Sharing similar lines to the Blue Will Concept shown in Detroit in January (though it drops the "criss cross" effect on the side of the vehicle), the concept hybrid certainly lives up to its name... flow it does. The aerodynamic skin, coupled with the use of lightweight materials, solar panels and innovative design elements like an adaptive front spoiler and side rocker blades, add up to a claimed fuel efficiency of 3L/100km and CO2 output of just 85g/km.

Hyundai says the i-flow slick lines and boat-tail rear add up to an impressive aerodynamic drag coefficient of just 0.25 Cd, putting it on par with the Volkswagen L1 and the 2010 Toyota Prius.

Hyundai's first dip at a diesel-electric hybrid powertrain uses a new 1.7-litre two-stage turbocharged engine (dubbed 'U2'), a six-speed, dual-clutch transmission and the company's Lithium Ion-Polymer battery technology.

The flowing lines continue inside the cabin including a large contoured screen which Hyundai says recognizes not only touch, but also gesture input.

ix35 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle
The company is also showcasing its Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric (FCEV) technology with a fuel cell version of the ix35. The display model uses 21kW LiPoly electrical storage batteries which are already in mass production and induction motors instead of permanent magnet-type motors. Hyundai believes these innovations will assist in its goal of getting series manufacture of FCEVs for fleet customers in South Korea underway by 2012.

TECHNOLOGY : Aston Martin special edition

V12 Vantage Carbon Black Edition
The new V12 Vantage Carbon Black Edition features specially formulated Carbon Black metallic paint with each car undergoing 50 man-hours of hand painting to achieve the car’s deep rich finish. The iconic Aston Martin side strake has been fashioned from carbon fiber backed by a black mesh and complimented with gloss black 10 spoke diamond turned alloy wheels. A bright finished grille and front parking sensors (normally an option) complete the exterior detailing. Each Carbon Black is bestowed with a carbon fiber sill plaque etched with V12 Vantage Carbon Black in stainless steel.

DBS UB-2010 Limited Edition
Consisting of a limited run of 40 DBS comprising 20 Coupes and 20 Volantes each DBS UB-2010 features a unique ‘Azurite Black’ paint finish, a metallic bronze leather with woven leather seat inserts and a ‘Cryptic Titan’ facia finish. Each car will bare ‘UB-2010’ sill plaques signed by Dr. Bez together with a final inspection plate after Dr. Bez has signed-off each of the 40 cars personally.

Works Service Showcase
To showcase just what the new Works Service Tailored service can do Aston Martin displayed two cars in Geneva; a Magma Red Rapide featuring tailored ‘Cryptic Titan’ facia and door finishers and a DB9 with Blue Pearl white paint, gun metal exterior metal work, Blue Gin Leather and an African Walnut wood finish.

The Works Service dates back to the 1920’s offering services ranging from ground up restorations, to modifying and creating bespoke solutions to cater to individual tastes. Its evolution into the new Tailored service sees it extend the personal tailored options available through Aston Martin’s Work Service facility.

TECHNOLOGY : Kinetic Mouse - no batteries required

Freeing oneself from the shackles of wired PC periphery does come at a cost. In order to power such liberation, users rely on batteries. Even rechargeable ones impede workflow when they run out of juice. Designer Adele Peters proposes capturing the energy from moving, clicking and scrolling and using it to power Corky, a kinetic mouse made from recycled materials.

A finalist in the Greener Gadgets Design Competition, the eco-friendly peripheral has an element within the body to harvest energy from movement, a similar setup is fitted to the scroll wheel and a piezoelectric element stores energy from each click of the left and right buttons. As its name suggests, the outer shell is made from waterproofed recycled cork and all the plastics are from recycled stock too. Regional material sourcing and assembly and end of life recycling add more green points to its credentials.

Precise details of internal electrics were not outlined in the design so it's not known whether Corky will be able to harvest enough energy from user movement to enable consistent operation, such things will no doubt be answered as and when a prototype results.

The concept just missed the bronze medal in the audience vote at the Greener Gadgets 2010 Conference in New York last month, coming fourth behind a USB device charger that is powered by interior light, a rocking chair kinetic device charger and the winner, a mobile phone app that provides consumers with pertinent food information from local growers.
